While shortlisted candidates across 14 award categories will have to wait until the night of the Irish Accountancy Awards 2019 gala awards ceremony & dinner on May 16th to find out if they are successful, one trophy recipient has already been named.
We are delighted to announce that Dr. Laurence G. Crowley CBE FCA will be honoured with the inaugural Outstanding Contribution to Accountancy award, sponsored by Chartered Accountants Ireland. Throughout his stellar career Dr. Laurence Crowley has made a significant and positive impact in Irish accountancy, business, education and all island economic ties.
Laurence Crowley qualified as a Chartered Accountant and was, for many years, a Partner in KPMG specialising in corporate advice and insolvency.
In 1990, his focus expanded to leadership roles in prominent business organisations including Governor of the Bank of Ireland, Chairman of the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) and of P.J.
