UK accountancy firm Albert Goodman has reported a record financial year for FY26, supported by strong client retention, revenue growth and continued investment in specialist advisory services. The performance reflects sustained demand for accountancy, tax and financial planning expertise as businesses and individuals navigate an increasingly complex economic environment.
Business Biscuit reported that the firm achieved a 20% increase in revenue during FY26, driven by growth across key service lines and a high level of client retention. The business, which has offices in Bristol, also recorded a 13% increase in new business wins within its financial planning team.
According to the firm, its financial planning advisers support both individual and business clients on tax reforms, estate planning, pensions and investment opportunities. Albert Goodman said growing demand for trusted, independent advice contributed to increased client activity across these services during the year.
The firm also expanded its tax advisory capabilities through a series of senior appointments. Lauren James was promoted to personal tax partner, while Oli Bolam and Tom Butt joined the corporate tax team as senior managers, strengthening the firm's expertise across personal and corporate taxation.
Partner Robin Clempson said: “FY26 has been another exceptional year for the firm and one that reflects the dedication, expertise and commitment of our people. While the growth itself is something we’re incredibly proud of, what stands out most is the trust our clients continue to place in us year after year.”
He added: “Strong client retention has been a key driver of our performance, and that is only possible because of the relationships our teams build and the quality of advice they deliver. We remain committed to providing the expert, personal service our clients value, while continuing to invest in the people and capabilities to support them.”
Alongside its commercial performance, Albert Goodman announced the launch of the Albert Goodman Foundation in June to provide sustained support for communities across South West England. The foundation will offer flexible grants to charities, community interest companies and other non-profit organisations, with a focus on education, social mobility and opportunities for young people.
