Borgo won the Online Practice of the Year at the Irish Accountancy Awards 2025 for its pioneering approach to digital accountancy and client engagement earlier this year.
Founded in 2022 through the merger of AEON Accountants and Kalc Accounting, the firm has grown rapidly, operating with a team of 15 professionals across Dublin and India.
Borgo combines compliance, bookkeeping, and business advisory services with advanced technology to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and improve client satisfaction, achieving a 25% annual growth rate while delivering measurable outcomes.
Judges highlighted the firm’s innovative approach and commitment to high-quality client service.
“Borgo delivered a standout submission that reflected a clear commitment to modern, high-quality online services and client satisfaction. Their initiatives, including strong CSR efforts, were well-supported with KPIs, detailed insights, and compelling client testimonials. Our judges highlighted their balanced approach to innovation, efficiency, and impact as a key driver of their continued success,” the judges said.
The recognition reflects rising standards across the Irish Accountancy Awards 2026, where winners increasingly combine innovation, operational rigour, and measurable client impact. Borgo’s achievement establishes a benchmark for firms seeking to integrate digital transformation with client-centred services.
The question now is: who will emerge as the next winners in 2026? Entries close on 30 January 2026, with finalists to be announced on 19 March 2026.
From there, the 2026 awards gala will take place on 21 May 2026 at the Royal Dublin Convention Centre, bringing together Ireland’s accountancy leaders to celebrate achievement, innovation, and excellence across the sector.
