Clonmel chartered accountant JP Wynne has co-founded Complete Sports Management (CSM), a new full-service sports management agency targeting Irish professional jockeys, offering integrated tax, accounts, financial planning, and commercial representation services to an athlete cohort that has historically lacked structured off-track professional support.
Tipperary Live reported that Wynne co-founded the agency alongside former jockeys and racing analysts Ruby Walsh, Fran Berry, and Emmet McNamara, who bring industry credibility and media profile to a venture designed to bridge the gap between professional athletic careers and sound financial management.
CSM provides a full-service management model covering commercial representation, PR and media, tax and accounts, financial planning, travel logistics, and group partnership deals, with the service tailored specifically to the needs of professional jockeys.
The agency has been established to address two longstanding gaps within the industry: professional off-track support for jockeys, and structured commercial access for companies seeking credible visibility within the horse-racing sector.
Berry said the vision is to bring structure, clarity, professionalism, and long-term thinking into every aspect of a jockey's career while creating real commercial value for the brands that support the sport.
McNamara, who works as a chartered accountant within the bloodstock side of the industry, said Irish jockeys are world-class and that gone are the days of sorting out a tax return on the way to the races.
Wynne's accountancy background positions CSM to address a practical gap in how professional athletes in the equestrian sector manage their financial affairs, an area where other sports have long developed specialist advisory infrastructure but horse racing has lagged behind.
