HireIQ, the Belfast-based specialist recruitment firm for accountancy and finance professionals, has appointed Feargal McCormack as non-executive director. The appointment comes as the business invests in scale, capability, and international expansion across Northern Ireland, Ireland, Scotland, and New York.

The Belfast Telegraph reported that McCormack is a former president of Chartered Accountants Ireland and founded FPM Chartered Accountants in 1991. In May 2022, the firm merged with private equity-backed AAB Group, where McCormack currently serves as senior partner and head of family business.

McCormack was recognised at the 2025 Irish Accountancy Awards for his outstanding contribution to the accountancy sector across Ireland. He also holds senior leadership positions including Pro-Chancellor of Queen's University Belfast and director of Co-Operation Ireland.
