Acknowledged for its collaborative approach to finance and operations in 2025, Lidl Ireland was named winner of the Best Finance Collaboration category at the Irish Accountancy Awards 2025, recognised for the development and implementation of its innovative Supplier Hub initiative.

Designed to address a clear business need, the Supplier Hub brings together finance and key internal teams to deliver a streamlined, supplier-focused solution that enhances efficiency, transparency, and communication. The initiative reflects a strong commitment to partnership, demonstrating how effective interdepartmental collaboration can drive meaningful improvements across the supply chain.

Judges commended Lidl Ireland for the clarity of its strategy and the strength of teamwork behind the project. “Lidl Ireland’s submission stood out for its impressive interdepartmental collaboration and its supplier-centric approach. The Supplier Hub demonstrates how strategic alignment and teamwork can result in an innovative, impactful, and highly effective solution,” the panel said.

The award highlights evolving standards within the Irish Accountancy Awards, where excellence is increasingly defined by the ability to break down silos, align financial strategy with operational needs, and deliver tangible business outcomes. Lidl Ireland’s success illustrates how collaboration within finance can act as a catalyst for innovation, efficiency, and long-term value creation.

Building on the achievements of 2025’s winners, attention now turns to the 2026 awards cycle, where organisations will be challenged to continue advancing collaborative practices, strategic finance leadership, and innovative solutions.
