UK accountancy and business advisory firm TC Group has relocated its Bournemouth operation from Christchurch to the sixth floor of Waverley House on Holdenhurst Road in central Bournemouth, moving a 40-strong team of accountants and advisers to a more prominent city centre location, as reported by the Bournemouth Echo. The relocation follows a period of acquisition-led growth at TC Group and supports the firm's continued investment across the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area.
Zoe Mowlem, partner at TC Group, said the move was a major step for the firm and added: "It improves accessibility for our clients and makes us more visible to new clients and emerging talent. It places us at the very heart of the community we serve."
TC Group offers a full range of services including business advisory and support, audit, accounting, tax planning and compliance. The firm's Bournemouth operation has seen significant growth in recent years, driven by a number of acquisitions, a pattern consistent with broader consolidation activity across the UK regional accountancy market.
Lucy Filer, partner at TC Group, has joined the board of the Town Centre BID and continues in her role as a Dorset Chamber Ambassador. She said the firm remained aligned with and committed to contributing to the future success of the BCP business community, adding that doing so would help create strong local employment opportunities for the next generation.
The relocation strategy mirrors a trend visible across mid-tier UK accountancy practices, where firms are using office moves and acquisitions to sharpen their competitive positioning in regional markets, attract qualified staff and signal investment intent to prospective clients. Regional firms face increasing pressure to compete on visibility and service breadth as larger national players extend their geographic footprints through acquisition.
TC Group operates across multiple UK locations and provides services to a broad range of SME and owner-managed business clients. The Bournemouth move positions the firm more centrally within one of the South of England's most active business communities, with the BCP area home to a growing concentration of professional services, financial and technology businesses.
